Sydney & The Great South Pacific Express

 

Day 1         Sunday.

Depart Hong Kong by air.

 

Day 2         Monday.        

Arrive Sydney.  Met on arrival and transfer to the hotel.

                  Hotel: The Observatory  

 

Day 3         Tuesday.

The beautiful Observatory is located in the heart of Sydney・s historic :Rocks; area, adjacent to the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and only a short stroll from Sydney Opera House.

 

Day 4         Wednesday.

Transfer to Lilianfels,  enjoy brunch at the beautiful Orient-Express Hotel, Lilianfels, in the heart of the Blue  Mountains.  Set amid some of Australia・s most breathtaking scenery, Lilianfels is an oasis of old-world charm, perched on the edge of the magnificent Jamison Valley and surrounded by elegant gardens.

Transfer to the railway station.

          Depart Mt. Victoria by the Great South Pacific Express 1625

(It is possible to fly from Sydney to Lilianfels, over the magnificent Blue Mountains in a Helicoptor transfer, but this is very weather dependant, if you would like this, we can make the application on your behalf).                                

Day 5        Thursday. 

 Travel through the Molongo Gorge and into the Australian Capital Territory.

Arrive Canberra at 0850

 Enjoy an excursion and a private tour of Parliament House. Canberra is the political, diplomatic and administrative capital of Australia. It was founded in 1901 and is like no other Australian city, with its carefully planned, spacious, tree-lined streets and showcase architecture. Canberra also has one of the best collections of war relics and memorabilia, housed in the Australian War Memorial Museum,as well as a wealth of art galleries and museums to visit.

Visit Lanyon, a pastoral property where natural beauty and history combine to make a place of natural heritage significance. The Nolan Gallery exhibits the finest 20th Century Australian art. Sheep, cattle and horses graze on the hills of the Tidbinbilla range and Murrumbidgee River plains.

Journey through the magnificent scenery of the Southern Highlands, passing Mount Gibraltar, (known as :The Gib Rock;).

 

 

Day 6        Friday.           

Arrive Singleton  0945

 

Breakfast and Dinner are served.

 

After breakfast a visit to a private vineyard deep in the Hunter Valley. There is something for everyone in the numerous wineries of the Hunter Valley. The atmosphere can be enchanting. It・s a place as well known for world-class cuisine and hospitality as for its famous wines.  Depart Branxton  1630

 

Day 7        Saturday.          

Arrive Brisbane (Roma Street Station)  1430

Transfer to the hotel.

                 Hotel: Stamford Plaza

 

Day 8        Sunday.         

Transfer to the airport.  Depart Brisbane by air.

                 Arrive Hong Kong
