Day 1 Depart Cairns in Northern Australia on the 90 minute drive past beautiful beaches and lush sugar cane fields to the Lodge. The Lodge is nestled in the 110 million years old World Heritage Rainforest, on the southern edge of the majestic Daintree River. Heated swimming pool, BBQ, library and golf.

Days 2 and 3 Visit the environmental Daintree Centre where you can be educated and informed.   Enjoy some of the walking tracks through the oldest living rain forest on earth. Explore and learn about the many forms of flora and fauna. Walk across the raised boardwalk; take a look at the theatre and display area. Feeling energetic, take a hike to Alexandra Falls. You can explore the tea plantations on horseback, enjoy twilight walks or even go cycling.
Day 4 Proceed to the seaside township of Port Douglas to a resort which has been built amongst   the natural canopy of its own rainforest, with a flowing creek, lily ponds and tree shaded   retreats. It is just a short stroll to Four Mile Beach and the warm waters of the Coral Sea.

Day 5

Visit the outer Great Barrier Reef on the edge of the continental shelf. Includes lunch.

  Opportunities for snorkelling and diving.

Day 6 Transfer to Cairns International Airport by coach  
Depart Cairns 
 
Arrive Brisbane
Transfer to Holt Street Wharf by taxi under own arrangements.

Depart for Tangalooma Resort by launch

Day 7 Nestled amongst landscaped gardens and natural bushland, the highlight of any stay at   Tangalooma will be the opportunity to interact closely with the native wild life. Each evening dolphins eagerly swim up to the beach and are hand fed. In the morning, pelicans and cormorants enjoy being fed on the beach.  Regular whale watching cruises operate during the whale migration season between July and October. 
Day 8 Return to Brisbane by launch, departing 1200
On arrival at Holt Street Wharf, proceed under own arrangements to the self-drive car rental office and drive to the Farmstay, a working beef cattle farm adjoining the unspoiled magnificence of the World Heritage Lamington National Park.

Day 9 Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, this peaceful homestyle retreat in the heart   of the Australian bush, affords the opportunity to enjoy animals and birds.
Day 10  Return to Brisbane and surrender the self-drive car.
