Villa Rental for Holiday in Umbria, near Todi.

The 15^th Century saw the building of this delightful house. It has been extended and much improved over the intervening years and is now offered as a holiday home. Located just outside the small village of Montecastello di Vibio, the house is capable of sleeping up to 11 people, set amid 15 acres of grounds with a swimming pool, over 400 olive trees, a small vinyard, lawns and walkways. There is a wonderful view of Todi, perched on the hilltop of the Umbrian countrside.

The charming town of Todi is built on a hill with with its Cathedral and 13^th Century Palazzi of Palazzo del Populo and Palazzo del Capitano. It is a joy to wander through the mediaeval streets, and when you are feeling warm, an Italian ice-cream is never be far away. For a longer walk you can follow the Via Flamina, one of the ancient roman roads in the area

The house is beautifully presented and the pictures below show some of the charm of the

rooms and the grounds.

For lovers of sports, there are municipal tennis courts and golf courses quite close by, one being Antagnola, a Robert Trent Jones designed course, as well as the Perugia Golf Club and another 9 hole course. Horse riding can be had locally and water sports on the lake at Lago Trasimeno. Umbria also has many fine walks and there are many tracks to follow in the surrounding rolling countryside.

For those who like to curl up by the open fire, there is TV, satellite TV, radio and stereo systems, books, video and DVD films. There is a maid to look after you, and washing and drying facilities. A caretaker is on the property to attend to any small repairs or problems.

There is a BBQ area, and the great joy of Italy is the alfresco dining experience.

Whether under the sunshade, or next to the pool in the Mediterranean sun, the great joy of Italienne cooking, or even your own style, is a joy to be savoured. There are fresh eggs from the chickens kept at the property and some fresh vegetables from the garden and greenhouse

The house can be rented by the week, or for any period. Please call us for availability and the price as it varies due to the season, but they start at GBP 1,300 and go to GBP 2,750 for high season, (5^th July to 16^th August). To get even more from this fabulous location we can arrange for a rental car to await your arrival at the airport.

The nearest International Airport is Rome, Fiumicino, and it is normally a 2 hour drive to the house. You can use reward miles to cover the cost of the air ticket, or we would be pleased to find you a competitively priced air ticket.
