The Majestic Hotel is a wonderful colonial style Hotel and is a great base to set forth on exploratory trips into the city. You can hire a cyclo, and progress around the town by pedal power and have time to see the old parts of this town

Day 1 Depart Hong Kong, on Vietnam Airlines flight VN767 at 0905

Arrive Ho Chi Minh City at 1040

Met at airport after Transit Visa issued and private transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure or for you to begin exploring this fascinating city.

Day 2 Optional Private Sightseeing Tour of Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels, including lunch, & English speaking guide.

Picked up from your Hotel about 1030, proceed to downtown Ho Chi Minh for lunch at an attractive Vietnamese style restaurant.

After lunch, drive to the town of Cu Chi. The tunnel network became legendary during the 1960’s for its role in facilitating Viet Cong (VC) control a large rural area. At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Ho chi Minh to the Cambodian border and there were over 250 km of tunnels in the Cu Chi district alone.

Return to Ho Chi Minh and visit Notre Dame Cathedral and the impressive French-style Post Office. Continue to Cholon (China Town). Cholon rose to prominence after Chinese merchants began settling there in 1778 and, despite the mass migrations after 1975, still constitutes the largest ethnic-Chinese community in Vietnam. Walk through the colourful and ancient thoroughfare, Le Cong Kieu.

Return to the Majestic Hotel about 1830.
