Northern Thailand Adventure

Day 1 Depart Bangkok by air (or overnight train)

Arrive Chiang Mai
Transfer to the hotel.
Hotel: ROYAL PRINCESS

Day 2 Chiang Mai / Golden Triangle
Depart from Chiang Mai by 4X4 to the city of Chiang Rai. En route stop at the hot spring at Mae Kha Chan, then continue to Chiang Khong via the Hmong Muang Klang Village.
Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on the Mekong River from Chiang Khong to Chiang Saen, including Wat Chedi Luang. Continue the drive to the Golden Triangle.

Day 3 Golden Triangle / Lisu Lodge
After breakfast, depart for the Lisu Lodge, travelling via Mae Sai, the northernmost point of Thailand. Drive up to Mae Salong visiting Yao, Akha hill tribes and the Kuomintang, a Chinese refugee village. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Chiang Dao Cave before and continuing to Lisu Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Lisu Lodge
After breakfast at the lodge, cycle (mainly downhill) for about 8 km to the Mae Tang elephant camp. From here, you will enjoy an elephant ride
through the beautiful mountain scenery. Picnic lunch by the River Mae Tang. Later,
embark an inflatable raft for some white water rafting on the Mae Tang River. Transfer to Lisu Lodge, dinner and overnight.

Day 5 Lisu Lodge / Mae Hong Sorn
After breakfast at the lodge, visit a Karen Village and then drive up along the mountainous road to Pai. Lunch at local a restaurant. -Visit the Lod Cave, a gigantic cave with an inner river. Continue to Mae Hong Sorn and visit the Burmese Temple of Doi Kong Mu with superb views over the mountains.
Hotel: IMPERIAL TARA MAE HONG SOM

Day 6 Mae Hong Sorn / Chiang Mai
After breakfast, enjoy an elephant ride across rivers and hills. Board a long-tail boat on the Pai River for an astonishing encounter with the Giraffe Women (Long Necks).
Lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to Mae Hong Sorn Airport.
Depart Mae Hong Som, arrive Chiang Mai and transfer to the hotel.
Hotel: ROYAL PRINCESS

Day 7 Chiang Mai
After breakfast at the hotel, the morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, visit a handicraft village and several factories. Return to the hotel.

Day 8 Chiang Mai
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Chiang Mai Airport.
Depart Chiang Mai by air
