| Day 2 | Morning sightseeing of Kathmandu city includes the Temples of Hanuman Dhoka Square, |
| the House of the Living Goddess and the Royal Ceremonial Palace. | |
| Call at Swayamhunath, the oldest Buddhist Stupa in the world, set high above the valley | |
| and commanding a superb view of the entire Kathmandu Valley. This Stupa is also known | |
| as the" Monkey Temple". Afternoon sightseeing to Patan, an ancient city of fine arts and | |
| architecture, founded in 250AD and renowned for its work in bronze, silver and copper. | |
| Also visit The Tibetan Handicraft Centre to see the weaving of woollen carpets. | |
| Day 3 | Transfer to the airport. |

| Arrive Pokhara.

| Day 4 | At leisure relaxing in this magnificent setting dominated by the superb Fishtail Mountain, |
| Nepal's Matterhorn. Go boating on the lake
or stroll along the lakeside. |
|
| Day 5 | Meet with the trekking crew and commence the short three night" Royal |
| Trek", a trek arranged for H.R.H. The Prince of Wales in December 1980. The area through | |
| which the trek passes, falls within the Gandaki zone and is populated mainly by the | |
| Gurungs, renowned as one of the leading martial races in Nepal and known all over the | |
| world as the Ghurkas. Along the way there are many resting places built for weary | |
| travellers. Many of these "chalutaras" offer the traveller fine views of the magnificent | |
| Himalayas to north. During the trek, take in exhilarating views of the beautiful valley of | |
| Pokhara to the west and line upon line of the middle
hills of Nepal to the south. |

| Day 6 | Trekking with overnights at superbly prepared campsites. The campsites look out over and |
| breathtaking
vistas of the Himalayan peaks and the sunsets and sunrises are truly |
|
| Day 7 | spectacular. |
| Day 8 | End the trek and drive back to Pokhara for overnight. |

| Day 9 | Transfer to the river entry point for an exciting day rafting trip to famous Tiger Tops in the |
| Royal Chitwan National Park. After the crew assembles the equipment, set off down the | |
| river spending the day within the forested canyons and enjoying lunch and overnight | |
| beside the river. | |
| There is time to explore, birdwatch, photograph and learn about the local people. The area | |
| is inhabited by Magars and Guraungs (farmers) noted for their friendliness and charm and | |
| there is the opportunity to visit a village. | |
| In the evening you are welcome to help the crew with camp chores and after the tents are | |
| pitched and wood is gathered for the evening fire, a savoury dinner is prepared over gas | |
| stoves. | |
| Day 10 | End the raft trip and arrive at the fascinating Tiger Tops Tented Camp, situated on |

| Day 11 | Take a canoe trip to the Tiger Tops Jungle Lodge. The river's course is through dense |
| jungle, alive with birds. On arrival at the Lodge, either relax or make an excursion on | |
| elephant back into the jungle to view and photograph rhino, deer, wild bear, pheasant and | |
| peacock to name just a few. In the evening, a slide show about the Royal Chitwan National | |
| Park. Either Dr. Charles Mcdougal or one of the naturalists will be on hand to answer any | |
| questions. Dinner is around the open hearth of the Lodge's
huge Nepalese style dining room. |

| Day 12 | Visit the elephant camp to see the bathing and feeding of elephants. A short |
| lecture is given regarding their training and behavior. | |
| Brunch is served at Meghauly airstrip prior to the flight back to Kathmandu. | |
