Exotic Reunion Island

Day 1

Depart Hong Kong on board your Air Mauritius flight to Reunion Island. Upon arrival in Mauritius, be met and transferred to your transit airport hotel for overnight.

Day 2

In the morning, transfer to the airport for the short flight to Reunion Island.

Be greeted on arrival by your English speaking guide and transfer you to your hotel in nearby St. Denis.

Lunch is on your own account.

During the afternoon, visit the most important sites of St. Denis, famous for its old creole houses, the Prefecture and the old Town Hall.

Day 3

An early departure along the East Coast with its sugar cane fields. This coast is the greenest in Reunion.

Join the only road that crosses the island and proceed towards the active volcano Piton de la Fournaise (2631m). Travel via Plaine des Palmistes with its tropical forests and the pass, Col de Bellevue.

The road leading to this million years old volcano, which is still active, alternates between cryptomeria forests with exuberant flora and a lunar ladscape. You will pass through layers of black lava, which constitute the volcano cone.

As you travel, you will be informed of the colourful history of this fascinating island and told about its volcanic formation.

Stop for lunch at the Auberge du Volcan where you will enjoy creole cuisine.

After visiting the volcano, stop at Volcano House, a museum and exhibition dedicated to Reunion's natural heritage.

Return to St. Denis via the West Coast and its white sand beaches, having travelled around the island of Reunion in one day.

Day 4

The balance of the day is free in St. Denis until your transfer to the airport in the evening.

Depart Reunion and return to Hong Kong via Mauritius.

Arrive Hong Kong
