| Day 1 | Arrive Kathmandu Transfer to the hotel. Hotel: YAK and YETI, or similar |
| Day 2 | Morning sightseeing
of Kathmandu City includes the temples of Hanuman Dhoka Square, the House
of the Living Goddess and the Royal Ceremonial Palace. Call at Swayambhunath,
the oldest Buddhist Stupa in the world, set high above the valley and
commanding a superb view of the entire Kathmandu Valley. This Stupa is
also known as the "Monkey Temple". Afternoon sightseeing to
Patan, an ancient city of fine arts and architecture, founded in 250 AD
and renowned for its work in bronze, silver and copper. The Tibetan Handicraft
Centre is also visited to see the weaving of woolen carpets. |
| Day 3 | At leisure |
| Day 4 | Depart Kathmandu
by car fro Bhaktapur, another spectacular ancient city with fascinating
temple squares and narrow streets. Continue to Khulikel for lunch, enjoying
the magnificent panorama of all the mighty Himalayan peaks spread out

At leisure for trekking and rafting excursions in this beautiful location,
and
only a short distance from the Tibetan border. |
