| Day 1 | Arrive Johannesburg Met on arrival for the handing over of travel documents. Depart Johannesburg by air Arrive Victoria Falls Met on arrival and transfer to hotel. Hotel: VICTORIA FALLS, ELEPHANT HILLS INTERCONTINENTAL, or THE KINGDOM |
| Day 2 | A morning "Cataracts" excursion followed by a visit to a traditional village. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening an African Spectacular Mkishi and Shangaan tribal dancing performance. |
| Day 3 |
Morning at leisure for
shopping for traditional handicrafts such as wood carvings, beadwork,
table-cloths etc or perhaps a last look at Victoria Falls. |
| Day 4 | Tour along
the famous "Garden Route" across the Storms River Bridge and
through the beautiful Tsitzikama Forest to Plettenberg Bay, a popular
seaside resort. Hotel: THE PLETTENBERG or KNYSNA QUAYS PREMIER PROTEA |
| Day 5 | Continue along
the Garden Route to Knysna. A good stop is the small Millwood Lane Shopping
Mall for charming local artifacts made from indigenous woods such as stink-wood
and yellow wood. A visit to the Knysna Heads alongside Knysna Lagoon is
also recommended as Knysna oysters may be enjoyed there. Continue through
the magnificent scenery of the wilderness travelling through lakeland
scenery of ocean, mountains and lagoons and on to George. Continue inland
via the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn to visit the splendid Cango Caves
with fine examples of stalagmites and stalactites. A stop at the Wildlife
Park to admire the beautiful king cheetahs is worthwhile for nature lovers.
A final visit to the Safari Ostrich Farm is another highlight where you
will be shown the manner in which are farmed. The farm also has a shop
selling quality ostrich leather goods. Return drive along the Robinson
Pass to check into your country hotel located on a farm, about 10 km from the coast
on the mountain pass. Time to relax at the poolside or perhaps take a

| Day 6 | Continue to Mossel Bay to Visit
the historic Post Office Tree and the Maritime Museum. Continue inland
to Swellendam to visit Drostdy, formerly the magistrate's court and now
a museum depicting county life in the 18th & 19th centuries. A good
luncheon stop could be the Zanddrift Restaurant (Asian meals available).
Continue through deciduous fruit farming ateas to reach Cape Town in the
late afternoon to check into your hotel. Hotel: THE TABLE BAU or CAPE SUN INTER CONTINENTAL or THE PORTSWOOD or THE HOLIDAY INN WATERFRONT. |
| Day 7 | At leisure. A visit is suggested to the popular Waterfront (buskers, boutiques, gemstone Scratch Patch, Two Oceans Aquarium, harbour cruises, IMAX Theatre, Restaurants (including Sea Palace Chinese Restaurant), and Table Mountain cable car, weather permitting. |
| Day 8 |
At leisure. A suggested
scenic drive along Chapmans Pass to Cape Point. Take the funicular or
Flying Dutchman minibus to the top to see the churning waters of the
Atlantic and Indian Oceans far below (windy, take jacket). Continue
to Boulders Beach near Simonstown to admire the charming Jackass Penguins.
A Cape Lobster lunch should not be missed and there are several good
venues for these. Visit Groot Constantia Cape Dutch homestead, where
the first vineyards were planted centuries ago. The cellars offer wines
for sale. The homestead is a fine example of unique Cape Dutch architecture. Stroll around Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens, home of South Africa's
indigenous flora. A good dinner stop is Mr. Chan Restaurant in Sea Point,
where you may choose to enjoy a taste of abalone. A final stop at Signal
Hill to admire the city lights before returning to your hotel. |
| Day 9 | Surrender the self-drive car at the airport Depart Cape Town by air Arrive Johannesburg Depart Johannesburg by air Arrive Skukuz |
| Transfer from
Skukuza airport to either the world famous Kruger National Park or one
of the privately-owned game reserves adjacent to the Park. Lunch included.Afternoon
Game Drive (in minibuses in the National Park; in open Land Rovers in
private reserves). Dinner included. In private reserves this may be a
BBQ Dinner around the campfire under the African stars.

| Day 10 | A full day to enjoy the bushveld and wildlife - remember to bring along plenty of film whilst watching out for the "Big Five" (Elephant, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino). |
| Day 11 | Another full day set aside to enjoy the outdoors, giving further opportunities to spot game perhaps missed on previous game drivers. |
| Day 12 | Final game viewing before the transfer to the airport.
