|
| Beijing's 3,000 year old past unfolds before you on this 4 day exploration of the capital city's most magnificent sights. Hutongs and quadrangles are typical Beijing architectural structures. Hutongs are ancient narrow alleyways unique to Beijing, while quadrangles are building complexes in the Hutongs. Your visit to Beijing is highlighted by a stay at the small yet artistic Lusongyuan Hotel, once the residence of the Qing military General Zenggelinqin. It is a traditional quadrangle compound, comprising five sets of buildings inside a courtyard. The pavilions and corridors, classic figures and flower paintings are of ancient architectural styles that earned high respect and admiration in olden days. It has now been restored into a cultural hotel, retaining its original charm. | |
