This vacation
allows you to try the delights of both Phan Thiet and Nha Trang, both having
beautiful stretches of white sand and easy safe access to the tropical blue
waters. The water is warm and inviting, and most of the Resort Hotels offer
many water-sports as well as their own swimming pools.

and transfer directly to the Resort at Phan Thiet.
Hotel: You may select from The Victoria Phan Thiet, The Coco
Beach Resort or Saigon Mui Ne Resort. There are pictures of the
properties, and some of the facilities they have, below, to help you to decide
which would suit you best. The prices are shown at the bottom of the document.
Day 2, Saturday.

At leisure to laze on the beach¡K
Day 3, Sunday.
At leisure¡K¡K to enjoy the Sandunes? The red sand
dunes are famous and are an interesting attraction.
Day 4, Monday. Depart Phan Thiet and drive
north to Nha Trang. This trip will usually take between 4.5 to 5 hours and
allows for a couple of breaks during the journey. The drive is along the
Coastal Route, and it gives great views over Ca Na beach, where there is a stop
for coffee or to stretch your legs. There can also be a stop at Bau Truc, where
you can see some local artisans making pottery in the old way without a potters
wheel. There can also be a stop at the village of Phan Rang where you can see
the well preserved Cham Tower of Po Klong Garai, then onto the Hotel.

Mandara, The Nha Trang Lodge or The Yasaka Saigon Nha Trang,
there are pictures of the Hotels below to help in your choice.

1 Mui Ne ¡V Hon Rom excursion: (RECOMMENDED)

Picked up from your Hotel for the journey to Mui Ne. Enroute you will visit some Cham Towers, these are believed to be the oldest in Vietnam. Make a photo-stop at Mui Ne wharf to see the wooden fishing vessels. Transfer to Jeep for a ride along the shore-line to Hon Rom. Here you are given some free time to absorb the local culture. On the return journey visit Mui Ne sand dunes and the Red stream. You are then dropped back at your hotel.

Takou Mountain excursion:
Picked
up from your hotel for the journey to Takou Mountain (a 33km drive). You leave
the vehicle and climb up the mountain to see the magnificent views. Visit Linh
Son Truong, the Tho pagoda and the Buddha statues, including the Lying
Sakiyamuni Buddha (49m long ¡V the longest in Vietnam). There is now some free
time to enjoy a picnic lunch (included). Return to the vehicle and on the
return journey to Phan Thiet, visit a green dragon fruit garden. You are then
dropped back at your hotel.
3/ Sampan tour on Ca Ty River: (RECOMMENDED)

Picked up from your hotel for the
journey to Phan Thiet fishing
port. Here you will board a sampan and cruise along the river (90 minutes).
Relax and enjoy the view of Phan Thiet wharf, watch the fishermen catching fish
on the river in the way they have for ages past. You are then dropped back at
your hotel.

Motorboat tour to the countryside:

Picked up from
your hotel for departure to Phu Hai hamlet. Visit a privately owned and run
fish-sauce factory. Board a small boat (6-8pax/boat) for a ride along Phu Hai
river. Enjoy the view of Phu Hai wharf, and see the locals catching fish on the
river. Leave the boat and a short walk to visit the oldest house of the
village. Try the local fruits of coconut and green dragon fruit. Visit a house
where rice-paper is still made in the traditional way. You are then dropped back at your hotel.
5 Phan
Thiet city tour by cyclo (3 hours):
These 3 wheeled cycles are a great way
to see the city. The slow journey allows you time to see the things that you
miss when zooming by in a taxi or car. You also have the benefit of no windows
to separate you from the smells and noises of local life, and what is more, you
do not have to pedal!!! Sit back and let the world drift by as your senses
catch all the delights of this fascinating country.
Picked up from your hotel for the journey to Phan
Thiet water tower, visiting the Ho
Chi Minh Museum and Duc Thanh School. Stop at Phan Thiet central market. Visit
Phan Thiet fishing port. On the return journey you get a photo-stop at Than
Hung Dao Bridge. You are then
dropped back at your hotel.

NHA TRANG HALF
DAY CITY TOUR:
You will be picked
up from your Hotel and driven to the Po Nagar Cham Towers, dating back to the 7th
century, on to the Long Son Pagoda with its huge white Buddha and panoramic
views of Nha Trang, as well as the fascinating Dam Market, Chong rocks,
Oceanographic Institute and Bao Dai¡¦s Villa. Bao Dai was Vietnam¡¦s last
Emperor.
BOAT TRIP WITH
LUNCH:
You will be picked up from your Hotel
& taken to the boat. Spend a
half-day cruising the turquoise waters and offshore islands of Nha Trang
bay. There are plenty of opportunities to swim, snorkel and sunbathe. A delicious fresh seafood lunch is
included. Return to hotel in the early afternoon. (L)
COUNTRYSIDE
TOUR:
You are picked up from your Hotel and then visit an ancient
house, a fruit garden and a local bread factory. Onwards to see local weavers
working on the old looms, then a visit to the local market, and a chance to
enjoy the countryside landscape.
