Australia is a great place to visit, but why not go there via Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines are offering flights to Sydney or Melbourne, via Ho Chi Minh City, there is a long layover that allows you take a tour of the city. We offer two Itineraries, details are shown below.

 

Day 1                         Depart Hong Kong, on Vietnam Airlines flight VN767 at 0905

Picked up from airport about 1100, proceed to downtown Ho Chi Minh. Visit Notre Dame Cathedral and the impressive French-style Post Office. Onward to the Reunification Palace or Presidential Palace, it was to this buiding that the North  Vietnamese Tanks raced on the on the morning of 30th April 1975, when the American troops made their final withdrawal from the Vietnam conflict. Once the symbol of the South Vietnamese Government, the building is preserved almost as it was on that April day when the Republic of Vietnam, which hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese and 58,183 Americans had died trying to save, ceased to exist. Next visit the War Remnants Museum, previously known as the Museum of Chinese and American War Crimes, this has become the most popular Museum in Vietnam for Western Tourist, and few museums in the world so aptly illustrate that warfare is so horribly brutal and that so many of the victims are usually civilians.  Continue to Cholon, (Chinatown). Cholon rose to prominence after Chinese merchants began settling there in 1778and, despite the mass migrations after 1975, still constitutes the largest ethnic Chinese community in Vietnam. Walk through the colourful and ancient thoroughfare, Le Cong Kieu.

Return to Airport about 1830, for the onward flight to Australia

Depart Melbourne on VN762, leaving at 1105.Arrive HCM at 1535.

The price for this is HK$ 4,350, based on two people traveling together sharing one car and guide for sightseeing.
