of China – Bike it and Hike it!
Experience
Wilderness Great Wall (Wild Wall) in the most active and atmospheric way, by
biking to it, camping on it, and staying in farmhouses close by it. With an experienced wall researcher and
conservationist in tow this tour will prove to offer much more than fabulous
scenery!
Ø 150 km of good mountain-road cycling and
10 km of dirt-road cycling involving the crossing of 6 high (900-1,300m) passes
(Beijing lies between 40 and 80 metres).
Ø 36 km of tough Wild Wall hiking.
Ø 1 night's camping on the Great Wall.
Ø 4 nights' accommodation in traditional yet
renovated farmhouses within sight of the Wall.
Ø 1 nights' accommodation in Beijing and
tours of the many amazing and historically significant sites of this great
city.

Distance: 150-200 km. cycling with 36 km. Hiking
NOTE Participants
are advised to provide their own sleeping bag ( rated to -20 C ) for this tour,
a few are available to rent if required.*
